We remanufacture barrels as
a cost effective solution to new purchasing. We
have the capability to reline 120" from one
end up to 180" on a full length sleeve. Available
materials include both the bimetallic liners and
tool steel liners from general purpose applications
(STD bimetallic & D-2) to more corrosion resistant
alloys, to the most abrasion and corrosion resistant
liners available today (tungsten carbide &
10-V).
We also maintain a large number of barrel cores
in our inventory so it may be possible to have
a resleeve done while the customer continues to
run his operation, thus eliminating unnecessary
and costly down time. Where downsizing or upsizing
is required call us to discuss a quote. Back

- Honing
Hones are available to not only
remove wearmarks or polish barrels but hone barrels
oversize and retrofit screws. Back

- Feedthroats
Because of the extensive work involved
in manufacturing & fabricating new extruder
feedthroats, remanufacturing them has become one
of our specialties.
Alloy bronze bushings are manufactured new and
seals replaced as needed. Water jackets are pressure
tested for coolant flow and can be acid flushed.
Finally feedthroats are inspected for concentricity
and checked for proper alignment of feedscrew.

- General
repair services
Barrels can be modified in addition
to rebuilding, whether it be plugging or relocating
a vent, sort pressure transducer hole, or to repair
a pressure sleeve. Back to top.
- Screws
We can grind, straighten, weld,
and repair hard surface flights with alloys applicable
to your specific processing that include both
the stellite and colmonoy lines.

Barrels can be manufactured
with any type of liner material to ensure the
best alloy is selected for your processing requirements,
whether it be a mild polypropylene or a more complex
engineered glass filled resin. Back

- Screws
Depending on your intended application,
we can place a broad range of products (profiles,
geometry's, and materials) at your disposal. We
offer 4140 HT, Nitralloy, and various tool steels,
hastalloy, and inconel. Stainless and plating
processes of chrome, nickel, and titanium are
offered along with the nitriding process. In addition
to a single flighted general purpose screw, we
also manufacture barrier screws, and mixing screws,
designed to meet your processing requirements.
